Some of the ways Ink48 works to be an eco-friendly hotel:

Our linen and towel re-use program (reduces water use and laundry detergent use by 25%)
Our extensive recycling program (helps recycle 60% of our waste)
All cleaning agents are non-toxic and environmentally safe products, eliminating the use of bleach and ammonia-based products
All new hotel materials and paper are 100% recycled and use soy-based inks; office paper is printed on both sides and then recycled

All complimentary lobby coffee is organic, shade-grown and/or fair trade, milk is purchased by the gallon to reduce waste from packaging, mugs and teaspoons are used, and napkins are made from recycled paper
Energy efficient light bulbs throughout the hotel
Energy efficient air conditioning and in-room mini bars are installed in our guest rooms

We are constantly working on other ways to expand our efforts, including such things as installing motion sensors, water filtration systems and air filtration/purifiers, and developing donation programs to recycle furniture and equipment no longer used at the hotel.
