Experience Ink48, a Kimpton Hotel

At Ink48, a Kimpton Hotel, we think our boutique NYC hotel is impressive. It looks like the media think so, too. See what they're saying about our Manhattan luxury hotel:

ABC.com - "Fitness Tips: Anywhere, Anytime, No Gear Required" - Danielle Harrison trained many Kimpton Hotels executives before securing her position as "Fitness Curator" for Ink48, a Kimpton property in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. Now a personal trainer, personal running guide and small-group trainer for corporate groups, Harrison knows everything there is to know about staying fit in a big city, even in the worst conditions.

Forbes.com - "The Hotel Detective's Top 10 Luxury hotel Rooms of 2012" - The name refers to the fact that this over-the-top suite looks down on a neighborhood that is still called Hell's Kitchen, but might be renamed Heck's Kitchen, given all the gentrification that's occurred. Ink48 was once a printing plant-the name is a reference to that and the cross street. From street level, this 1,100-square-foot suite with a 2,200-square-foot rooftop terrace looks like a lunar-lander with floor-to-ceiling picture windows. More»

Global Traveler Magazine - "GT Tested" - Despite my initial misgivings about the location, I truly enjoyed my stay at Ink48. The hotel occupies a former printing house which leads to some unique qualities, including a pleasant lack of "cookiecutter" guestrooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. While I didn't manage to work in time to mingle with other guests during the hotel's daily cocktail hour, a Kimpton tradition, I definitely felt at home. Another plus? Hailing a cab outside the hotel was an absolute breeze! More»

Self.com - "Need a Vacay? Check Out Three Luxe Fitness Retreats" - Of course, there is one downside to traveling: It can be far too easy to let your regular workout routine slide. So we've compiled a list of our three favorite wellness retreats so that you can get some (fancy!) R&R without sacrificing your fitness goals. More»

Central New York / Hudson Valley News - Getaway Guy - Ink48 Getaway - It's all about the view! And there are many great views from the fairly new Kimpton Hotel Ink48. On 48th Street and 11th Avenue in New York City, the old printing press from the 1930s is now a boutique hotel with an appropriate name. The views are great from most guest rooms because there are no other tall buildings next to the hotel! More»

Instyle.uk - Ink48, New York - A renovated 1920s factory that takes glorious advantage of its high rise position in an area of the city that enjoys a building regulation that keeps all competitors at five stories in height. Hence an award winning rooftop bar and some of the most glorious views I have ever enjoyed in Manhattan. There's a snug, reassuringly stylish lobby, all wood, bronzed metals and dim lighting. More»

New York Times - Easing the pain of workouts on the road - INK48 There was a time when the only thing a hotel might have on hand for forgetful guests was a toothbrush. But the new "Forgot It, We've Got It — Runner's Edition" kit at Ink48 is free to borrow and includes an iPod shuffle loaded with music; headphones; a sports watch with a built-in pedometer; a running belt; and water bottles and a map of the Hudson River running path. Forbes.com - THE HOTEL DETECTIVE - Manhattan Room With a View: Hotel Ink48 Penthouse - The Heaven Over Hell's Kitchen Suite ($2,500 a night) is a one-bedroom, 1,100-square-foot suite with a 2,200-square-foot rooftop terrace. It was added to the building and from street level, it looks like a lunar lander with floor-to-ceiling picture windows. From the living room, you can see up the Hudson all the way to the George Washington Bridge, and from the bedroom, straight up 11th Avenue. Instead of the drab strip of car dealerships, from here it has grace and contour, rising and falling like a ribbon that's been slightly pushed in from both ends. More»

USAToday.com - "Runners Multitask Sightseeing, Stress Relief" - Ink48, a Kimpton property in New York, offers a "Forgot It, We've Got It- Runner's Edition" amenity kit with a map of the Hudson River running path, a pre-loaded iPod shuffle with headphones, a sports watch, running belt with water bottles and an energy bar and sports drink. Zagat.com - "8 NYC Rooftops and Gardens For Winter" - Open year round, the bar on the top of the Ink 48 Hotel in Midtown has some of the best views of the Manhattan Skyline in town. Though the large roofdeck is where it's at during the warmer months, the main bar area is fully enclosed and features large windows that let you take in the views without having to get bundled up. The room is spacious, and there is usually seating available on the couches and chairs that dot the space - this is an impressive place to take your out-of-town guests, and one where you'll actually be able to hear them talk.
