Engineering feat: the Hudson Yards project

Hell’s Kitchen may have an intriguing history, but the future is making an impressive appearance here, too. One of the most dramatic additions to our west side skyline is Hudson Yards, the largest private real estate development in U.S history.

One part urban fairytale, two parts engineering marvel, all 28 acres of Hudson Yards are constructed on an elevated platform above the historic train yards that bear the same name. New York City’s newest neighborhood is home to a dazzling collection of commercial and residential towers, as well as 14 acres of public plazas, gardens, and open space. The High Line, an aerial public park built on an abandoned elevated freight line, serves as an entry point and wraps around Hudson Yards. Discover a diverse collection of shops or indulge your inner foodie at The Shops and Restaurants at Hudson Yards with over 100 experiences sure to delight. Climb or marvel at The Vessel, the landmark art piece located at the center of Hudson Yards offering amazing (and different) views from every flight of stairs ascended. Or step into The Shed, a stunning, movable cultural center featuring both well-known and up-and-coming artists in a diverse field of disciplines such as performing arts, visual arts, and many genres of music.

Hudson Yards advances the story of Hell’s Kitchen’s unique community, and Kimpton Ink48 Hotel is thrilled to be neighbors with such an exciting enterprise.
